PRESENTATION
Trento from the eyes of a child. The city opens up to the world of children, walks along its paths and discovers the spontaneity and immediacy of things. It re-examines its state of being, what it has become and how it is closed and hostile to the playing of children. Uncertain scenarios are in sight for the future.
It's the time to stop and think about the city's future for the young ones: chasing after vain and alluring mermaids, indulging in and feeding false needs, believing in the hidden convictions of fascinating but futile mirages, or taking over the reins of this journey and setting simple but concrete goals that guarantee, as much as possible, living conditions in harmony with nature, offering the same opportunities to all categories of people (children, the elderly, outsiders, etc.)?

We will try to find the answer to this question with the help of the cities, organisation, schools and nurseries which, again this year, have accepted Trento?s invitation to surprise its citizens, intrigue them, but also make them reflect.
The theme of this year will provide assistance and an incentive in this game: the world of fairy tales allows us to discover simple values, and the myths lead us through the mermaids and help us to understand and distinguish between what is vague and obscure and what expresses substance and truth.
The city will cover itself in colours and magic.
Playing, laughing, being astonished and being frightened in an enchantment of emotions. Letting oneself be caressed by the dream, so the myth is revived through admonition and challenge. It will soar into the air towards an objective that becomes material and spiritual.
